Dr. Shekarchian, D.V.M., C.V.A.

Dr. Shekarchian graduated vet school back in 2000 and moved to Denver in 2004. He has been practicing Top quality veterinary medicine in Colorado ever since.

In last 17 years he has built several practices in Denver metro area and "Pinery Veterinary Center" is his most recent facility which is equipped with the most advanced equipment and ready to provide top notch quality to our neighbors . He designed and developed Pinery veterinary center with upscale clientele in mind and sure enough, it lives up to our clients high standards.

He is married to his lovely wife for 22 years and has 2 boys and a girl. His hobbies are cars and aviation!

He is a private pilot and flies on his spare time. He is also a certified scuba diver and enjoys diving in Caribbean water every now and then!! He loves mountain adventures such as mountain biking and skiing as well.

He has 3 dogs “Oliver, Junebug” and “Arthur” and a cat “Tucker”

Dr. Cohen, D.V.M.

Dr. Cohen is from Upstate New York and obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Ross School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She practiced small animal medicine in New York and then in Colorado after moving here in 2009.

She has worked with Dr. Shekarchian since 2019. She enjoys connecting with clients and their patients in order to provide the utmost care for her patients through all stages of their lives.

She has a wonderful husband, two kids, and two furry kids (Sushi and Lucy).

When not working, she enjoys taking advantage of the outdoor activities offered in Colorado.

Michelle Quinn, R.V.T., Practice Manager

Michelle has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for almost two decades. She currently lives in Texas with her family, but she came back up to Colorado to help Dr. Shekarchian open Pinery Veterinary Center as they make a great team.

She thrives on team development, staff engagement, and employee education. A happy staff loves what they do and appreciates who they work with. Her and Dr. S focus the practice on a Gold Standard of patient care as they always want to offer our clients the best possible options, discussing client education so you can make educated decisions you feel good about, and building a real connection between staff, clients, and patients. She also has a passion for dentistry and anesthesia, so you'll find her in the surgery or dental suite if she's not in her office.

She has an amazing husband, and 3 kids (2 of which are adults now!) She enjoys going to the beach, farmers markets, and spending time with her family. If you ever need her, she is available for you to talk to, even if she's home in Texas, she wants to keep that communication flowing.

Jenn, R.V.T

Jenn was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She joined the U.S. Army in 2009, and worked as a combat medic. After she was discharged, she worked in various human hospitals in the Denver Metro Area. After seeing an add for Bel-Rea, she took a chance and enrolled. She graduated from Bel-Rea in 2015, and has had a deep passion for veterinary medicine ever since. At the clinic, she loves scrubbing into surgery to assist Dr. Shekarchian with various procedures. She also enjoys preforming lab tests, and monitoring anesthesia. Most of all she loves educating pet parents on helping their furry family members live their best lives. In her free time she enjoys working on art projects, hiking with friends, and going to various conventions around Colorado.

Jenny, R.V.T

Jenny graduated from Bel-Rea in 2020. She loves spending time with her dogs at home and taking them out for fun adventures. She finds fulfillment in critical patients and watching them get to go back home with their families. She has a passion for surgery and educating owners on how to give their fur babies the best care they can.

Haley, VA

Haley was born and raised here in Colorado and has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2021. She has always had a profound love for animals and getting into the veterinary field has only made that grow. She and her family have their own personal little zoo consisting of dogs, rats, sugar gliders, chickens, a hedgehog, an axolotl, and a cat. In her free time, you can find her reading, writing, binge watching her favorite movies and TV shows, and or spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys connecting with people through her work, and being able to help them in their pets' time of need.

Aly, VA

Aly graduated from Bel-Rea and has been in the veterinary field for nearly 10 years. She has always been interested in helping take care of your pets. She has worked in both ER and general practice. She enjoys helping the clients in room exams and scrubbing in for surgery. On her free time she loves to spend time with family, read, draw, and you can often find her paddle boarding or any activity on the water in the Summer.

Kassia, VA

Kassia was born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, California. After graduation she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. There she worked at an Emergency and Specialty Hospital. Now, we welcome her to colorful Colorado! She has been a Veterinary Assistant for 6 years. She is also Fear Free certified! Her favorite part of the job is establishing a relationship with our clients and patients. She wants to know everything about you and your pet to make everyone feel comfortable and provide them the best care.

She has a two cats named “Terro” and “Luna”. She loves muscle cars, attending concerts, and keeping up with Philadelphia sport teams. On her days off you’ll find her cuddling her cats, on a scenic drive in the mountains, or at karaoke!
